Our Mission

The Oakland Chargers Baseball Club (OCBC, formerly the Orion Chargers Baseball Club) was formed in 2005 to develop local players as young men and teach them the skills necessary to play and love the game of baseball. This includes playing hard, respecting the game, and conducting themselves professionally on and off the baseball field while representing the Lake Orion, and surrounding, communities. By teaching each player the fundamentals of baseball, our goal is to prepare them for the higher levels of competition in the future.

our journey

History

  • The Orion Chargers Baseball Club was formed in 2005 to develop local players as young men and teach them the skills necessary to play and love the game of baseball.
  • From 2005 to 2020, the Chargers grew from a couple teams to 7 or 8 teams for each season, having teams from 8U to 14U.
  • In 2021, the Chargers rebranded to the Oakland Chargers, for an all-inclusive Oakland County baseball program.
  • With the transition to Oakland Chargers, we have now expanded to 13-14 teams from 7U to 18U, with players from all over Oakland County and the surrounding communities.
  • We have also now moved into our own facility powered by 2SP which supports our year-round dedication to player development.
